On February 23rd, Constant Energy is honoured and pleased to welcome Khun Mechai Viravaidya, the legendary founder and chairman of Mechai Viravaidya Foundation, and also a founder and headmaster of Mechai Pattana School, to the Constant Energy office for a discussion on cooperation opportunities.
Constant Energy integrated contribution to Thai society as a part of the company’s CSR activities. We have worked with Mechai Foundation before and would like to continue giving back to the communities around where our projects located through the foundation.
Khun Mechai Viravaidya is a former health minister and activist in Thailand who promoted condoms, family planning, and AIDS awareness in Thailand. He is the recipient of the Bill and Melinda Gates Award for Global Health in 2007. Since the 1970s, Khun Mechai has been affectionately known as “Mr. Condom”, and condoms are often referred to as “mechais” in Thailand.
