Quang Ninh, Vietnam – Constant Energy, a leading developer, owner, and operator of large-scale renewable projects in Asia, and Nam Phat Shipbuilding and Shipping Company Corporation – a member of Nam Phat Group have officially inaugurated a 2.7 MWp rooftop solar system.
Following the signing ceremony in Q3, 2025, the rooftop solar system has been implemented at Nam Phat’s facility in Ha An, Quang Ninh, a large-scale industrial complex that integrates manufacturing operations with port logistics services. Built across an area of more than 20,000 square meters, the project has a total installed capacity of 2.7 MWp and is expected to generate around 3,099,868 kWh of electricity in its first year, maintaining a stable output in the years to follow. The project currently supplies approximately 38% of the plant’s total electricity demand. Beyond reducing energy costs, the system also provides additional benefits such as cooling the factory rooftops, improving operational cost, and ensuring a reliable supply of clean energy, particularly important during hot season.
During the inauguration ceremony, Constant Energy and Nam Phat highlighted the importance of renewable energy in strengthening the competitiveness of Vietnamese manufacturers, particularly in the context of Nam Phat’s needs to reduce energy cost and international regulations such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
