Hue, Vietnam – Constant Energy, a leading renewable energy developer in Southeast Asia, and Phenikaa Hue, a major industrial mineral processing company in Vietnam, today celebrated the inauguration of a 928.75 kWp rooftop solar project at Phenikaa Hue’s manufacturing facility in the Phong Dien Industrial Zone, Hue City, Vietnam.
Phenikaa Hue has continuously expanded its scale and emerged as a pioneer in the mining and mineral processing industry. Equipped with advanced technology from Grenzebach (Germany), the Phenikaa Hue plant officially began operations in January 2019. The newly inaugurated rooftop solar project, which was developed by Constant Energy with PE2T Energy Technique And Environment Joint Stock Company (PE2T) serving as the EPC contractor, represents another important milestone in Vietnam’s clean energy transition while supporting Phenikaa Hue’s commitment to sustainable industrial development, energy efficiency, and carbon emission reduction.
The system is expected to generate approximately 1.24 million kWh of clean electricity annually, helping reduce carbon emissions by more than 13,400 tonnes of CO₂ ovet the project’s lifetime. In addition to lowering reliance on grid electricity, the installation will help enhance the facility’s energy resilience and support Phenikaa Hue’s long-term Net Zero journey.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Oscar Loza, Country Manager of Constant Energy Vietnam, highlighted the project’s high-quality execution and the strong collaboration between all parties involved.
“Our project with Phenikaa is by far the fastest project that Constant Energy has implemented in Vietnam. From construction to permits and licensing, everything progressed smoothly thanks to the strong support from Phenikaa’s management team and our EPC partner, PE2T.
I personally visited the rooftop to assess the quality of the installation, and I was impressed by the high standard of work. This site stands as an excellent example of quality construction. We look forward to building on this successful partnership with Phenikaa and PE2T in the years ahead.”
